Les Clous 2016 is a classic Old World Burgundian Chardonnay with rich and buttery layers of warm ripe peaches, honeyed apple, lemon cream and soft spice flavours on the palate. Produced by Bouchard Père & Fils in the Meursault, Burgundy wine region. In Meursault, gentle hillside slopes are exposed to the morning sun and this area is particularly known for their exceptional white village wines. Les Clous is one of these. The word “clos” is very similar to the word “clos”, describing a walled vineyard.

Food pairings: lobster, chicken, salads, roast turkey.

From Meursault, in the Burgundy wine region, Bouchard Père & Fils Les Clous 2016 is a classic Old World Burgundian Chardonnay with finesse, structure and poise. Excellent balance and elegance on this Chardonnay. No exception for this vintage with its rich and buttery, soft spice flavours, finishing with ripe, honeyed peach on the palate. Enjoy now and for the next three years. Pair with roast Bresse chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
