Reviews and Ratings

Red wines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape are blends of up to 13 grapes, the dominant one being Grenache, then Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah. There is also lesser-known red grapes such as Terret Noir, Muscardin and Counoise as well as white grapes like Clairette Blanche, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc, Picardan, Roussanne and Picpoul permitted in the blend, though white grapes are increasingly rarely used, given the preference for the heft and depth that red grapes offer. - Community Wine reviews
