From the Napa Valley, California, Bootleg 2015, is produced by winemaker, Kristy Melton, this well-built, robust red wine blend of 53% Merlot, 21% Petite Sirah, 20% Syrah, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Wine grapes are sourced from Howell Mountain, Yountville, Oakville and Atlas Peak with the balance in Mendocino County and Alexander Valley. This wine was aged over 19 months in 85% French oak - 27% new and 15% American oak - 2% new barrels. Warming at 15% abv. Deep purple in the glass with a rich nose of blackberry, dark plums, baking spice and espresso coffee. It is dry, with plum and blueberry compote flavours, soft vanilla, baking spice and oak spice. Pair with a prime rib roast. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
