Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon Lot 8 is a smooth, fruit-forward red made by the Wagner family, the same winemaking family behind Caymus. It opens with generous aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis and dark cherry, followed by notes of vanilla, cocoa, toasted oak and a touch of sweet spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, soft and plush, with juicy dark fruit, gentle tannins and a rounded, easy-drinking texture that finishes smooth and slightly lush. It is made in a ripe, approachable California style that prioritizes richness and immediate enjoyment over structure. Fascinating fact: Bonanza is a multi-vintage California Cabernet created to reflect “hidden gem” vineyard sites across the state, and it is often described as a more accessible expression of the Wagner family’s Caymus style. Serve it at cool room temperature.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled beef burgers, barbecue chicken wings, pepperoni pizza, mushroom and garlic flatbread.
