Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Especially for a Manzanila, this is good. This is a dry, full flavoured Manzanilla. Itis labeled as a Pasada, which means the flor (the microbial layer lying on top of the fermenting wine) dies off in mid-maturation. That means this m oxidizes and gains some steam, body-wise.
Beautiful golden colour. Glass-coating concentration.
Aromas of almond, smoke, beeswax, barrel char, with some gamey funk.
Thearomas are super complex and intense. Saline, almond, walnut, honey, candle wax, apple, apricot, lemon, and cream. It's really complex and changes a lot as it warms up.
This is how you impress a real wine guru. It's a particularly high quality version of something rare and special in the wine world. It is a particularly intense, but refined wine that needs to be chilled and served with some seafood. Squid, sardines, or tapas stuff.
From Spain, Manzanilla Pasada SanlĂșcar De Barrameda from Bodegas Barbadillo Pastora is made from 100% Palomino wine grapes. Delicate citrus, nutty nose with a long nutty finish. Pair with tapas, grilled fresh sardines and, of course, roasted nuts. - Community Wine Reviews
