From Langhorne Creek, South Australia, Bleasdale's Mulberry Tree 2015 is a medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with grapes sourced from the The Mulberry Tree Vineyard so named after a tree growing in the middle of the block of vines. Look for a juicy mix of red and blackberry fruit, currants, dark chocolate, blue florals and spicy oak flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine. This vintage was awarded Gold in the 2018 Langhorne Creek Wine Show and The National Wine Show of Australia. 2018.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: lamb Bolognese, grilled New York striploin with chimichurri sauce, barbecued ribs in sauce, hamburger, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Bleasdale's Mulberry Tree 2015 is a well-priced, medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with grapes sourced from Langhorne Creek, South Australia. The vines for this robust Australian red wine are planted in the alluvial floodplains of Langhorne Creek. Founder Frank Potts established the winery in 1850. The Mulberry Tree Vineyard is named after a tree growing in the middle of the block of vines. Wine grapes are destemmed, crushed, open-fermented for up to 15 days on the skins and the wine matured for one year in French oak (15% new). Look for a juicy mix of red and blackberry fruit, black currants, dark chocolate, violets and spicy oak flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine and chalky. This vintage was awarded Gold in the 2018 Langhorne Creek Wine Show and The National Wine Show of Australia. 2018, as well as Silver in the 2017 Cowra Wine Show and 2016 Rutherglen Wine Show. - Community Wine Reviews
