Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Firm acidity offsets moderate residual sugar in this medium sweet red typical of the Kakheti region. Expect ripe red cherry and red fruit notes accented by subtle spice. Chill slightly and serve with pizza. Try mixing toppings with sweet, salty, and spicy flavours to create an adventure for your taste buds.
From the Alazani Valley, Kakheti Besini (2017) is a semi-sweet red wine made from the local Saperavi wine grape in Kakheti. This is an ancient grape dating back over 8,000 years. Ripe red cherry and sweet red berry with a touch of spice. Well-balance and good acidity for food. Pair with mild meat curry dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
