Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Oh how I love a Rioja..... allow me to drift for a moment while I remember the joy upon my palate! This one is one of the most delicious examples that I can urge you to try.

On the nose there are woody, oaky notes. Fruits of black berries, morello cherries, plums. Herbal tones of thyme, floral expressions and espresso beans.
On the palate there are morello cherries, black currants, plums and dried figs.Floral notes of rose and orange zest. Herbal thyme nuances give way to a rounded damp oak tone! Black licorice steps forward with a delicious mocha undertone. The tannins are firm but smooth releasing to spice of nutmeg and cloves. there is a lengthy , smooth finish to this dry full bodied wine that I would suggest as an end of evening wine. As a meal pairing i would serve pork chops in a blue cheese sauce and of course with any full flavoured red meat, like bison.

Bottoms up!
