Full-bodied and juicy with black and purple fleshy plum aromas and flavours. Supple and fairly smooth. Reminds me of a turbo zinfandel. BBQ anything will work.

Food pairings: barbecued beef kebabs.

There is a great deal to enjoy on the nose. Layered aromas of plum, spice and chocolate with tar adding great depth and character. The palate is juicy and ripe with tremendous balance and structure. Firm tannins and a lively acidity form an excellent framework for the fruit. Lots of rich, ripe fruit, and a core of plum and spice. Tasty. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Nov. 2012

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
