A full-bodied, vibrant Argentine red wine made a robust blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and some Malbec grapes. Fine polished tannins and deep minerality. A terrific representation of Uco Valley terroir. The viticulturist is Edy del Popolo, also winemaker.

Food pairings: roast leg of lamb, barbecued ribs in sauce, hamburger, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Benmarco Expresivo (2015) is a full-bodied and zesty Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec red wine from the Uco Valley in Argentina. Edy del Popolo is the winemaker and viticulturist for this very expressive wine and great representation of the Valley's terrior. The wine is deep red in the glass with a pronounced nose of blackberry, earthy flowers, anise and flinty notes on the palate.. A little tight right now. Hold in cellar for three years for it to show its best. - Community Wine Reviews
