A youthful Barolo with mouth-watering fresh cherry, dried strawberry, anise, grilled herbs and anise flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm and grippy. Try in 2020-plus and enjoy for 10 years thereafter. Pair with a game roast.

Barolo food pairings: game burgers, beef steak, rack of lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A deep, dark garnet Barolo with "legs" that announce the higher alcohol level and tannins to come. Dried cherries and a perfect balance of acidity and tannins. Roasted red meats, like lamb or beef, will match this wonderful example of this aged, Nebbiolo wine.
Beni di Batasiolo 2010 Barolo Riserva is fragrant with rose petal, bright cherry, licorice, wild herbs and espresso coffee aromas on the nose, quite tannic right now with bracing acidity. Needs a couple of years in cellar to start to show its best. Pair with roasts. - Community Wine Reviews
