Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A classic Chianti from the Ruffino sub-zone showing intense notes of earthy underbrush, savoury herbs and cherry. Chewy tannins and high juicy acidity dominate the palate. Cherry, dried herbs and bitter chocolate/ black tea flavours linger on the tongue. A yummy medium bodied Italian classic. Pair with roasted lamb. Tasted Jan 2017 - @sommsosa | bespoketstings.ca
The Fattoria di Basciano winery is nestled in the centre of the Chianti Rufina region. Fattoria translates to farm from Italian. The vines enjoy a micro-climate that's dry and windy and marked by a scarcity of rain which helps to ripen the sangiovese grapes slowly, and evenly. This wine displays a deep dark ruby red in the glass. Pair with lmb or game dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
