Natalie's Score: 91/100

Dark fruit and mint aromas on the nose of this benchmark Australian red wine that are engulfed by a flood of fleshy blackberries aromas and flavours on the palate. Quite a pleasant sensation. Full-bodied and luscious Shiraz. Supple with a long finish. This wine would be terrific with hearty meat dishes. A toasty finish.

Chianti Classico food pairings: goose, black bean soup, pork with soy, pot roast.

Barone Ricasoli's Castello Di Brolio (2012) is a Chianti Classico made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from the estate's vineyards. The vineyards are 250 to 450 m above sea level, grapes enjoy south to southwest exposure to slowly, evenly and fully ripen wine grapes. - Community Wine Reviews
