The Vintages catalogue says this is 2005, but we tasted 2001. This full-bodied Spanish red wine has a good grip on the palate is offers more earthy, smoky, dusty aromas and flavours than fruity ones. Dry and subtle, with tanned leather and cigar box and made from the traditional Tempranillo grape. This DO wine finished with dry tobacco and cedar. Decant for 2 hours and pair with lamb and rosemary.

Reviews and Ratings

The 2001 vintage of this robust Spanish red wine is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet grapes. Complex, elegant and mature. - Community Wine Reviews - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
