Bacalhôa's Moscatel de Setúbal from Setúbal is a youthful, medium-bodied fortified wine crafted from 100% Moscatel de Setúbal with notes of white nectarine, orange blossom, honeyed apricot and sweet spice. This lusciously sweet wine displays generous acidity to balance its rich texture and warming character. Serve it well chilled with lemon tart as the wine's citrus peel notes complement the dessert, or pair it with creamy blue cheese where the wine's sweetness balances the pungent, salty flavors. Winemaker José Neiva Correia crafts this fortified dessert wine with a façade of honeysuckle aromatics leading to an unctuous core diffused by bright acidity, finishing with marzipan, toasted nuts and dried fruit complexity. Bacalhôa has been producing exceptional fortified wines in Setúbal for generations, showcasing Portugal's traditional Moscatel style at accessible prices. This warming wine earned 95 points and Value designation at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards and represents outstanding quality and will drink beautifully through 2030.

Moscatel De Setúbal food pairings: cheesecake, fruitcake, chocolate studded with dried apricots, oranges.
