Toasty oak and smoke on the nose and palate of this full-bodied Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. Well-priced for this quality. Aromas of black fruit and dark spice. This wine is aged for a minimum of 8 months in French and American oak barrels. Pair with grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rib roast, pork tenderloin, meat lover's pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

From California, Avalon Cab (2013) is so dark red, it almost looks black. Lots of dried red cherries, dark chocolate, olive and savoury spice on this wonderfully silky Cabernet Sauvignon. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
