The 2013 vintage of this wine promises to be as spectacular as the 2012 vintage was (2012 was ranked #1 for Sauvignon from Cuisine Magazine of about 350 tasted). This producer makes some outstanding wines. Terrific lime awakening of the taste buds! Not too grassy, more of a citrus lift on this medium-bodied wine. Spring refreshment in a glass. Some notes of kiwi and green herbs on a dry finish. Terrific! Finishes with a gooseberry, citrus zing. Yes please!

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: seafood platter, Asian chicken salad, pork tenderloin, linguine.

Reviews and Ratings

Irina Omari rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This wine is simply fantastic. If you love Sauvignon Blanc- this is a must try. If you have never tried New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc - try a different bottle as after this wine everything else will be not as good. Very well balanced wine, not to grassy, the gooseberries are subtle. The lemon and line brings refreshment but doesn't overpower.
The 2013 Auntsfield Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and refreshing with a terrific silver streak of acidity running through it. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
