Auntsfield is the Marlborough region's first vineyard and winery established in 1873. Their single vineyard wines, like this one, are made from 100% estate grown fruit. Zesty, herbal with fresh cut grass and chives on the nose and palate. This producer makes some outstanding wines. Terrific lime awakening of the taste buds! Citrus lift on this medium-bodied wine. Spring refreshment in a glass. Some notes of kiwi and green herbs on a dry finish. Terrific! Finishes with a gooseberry, citrus zing.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: oriental chicken salad with yoghurt and citrus dressing, grilled lemon herb chicken breast, roast duck breast on sliced poached pears.

Reviews and Ratings

Auntsfield (2016) is a single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from South Island, Marlborough. The wine is zesty with fresh-cut grass, green herbs and finishing with lime citrus acidity. Great with freshly steamed shellfish. - Community Wine Reviews
