This is a Ramato, not a rosé, made in the ancient Friulian tradition of fermenting Pinot Grigio on its pinkish skins to extract colour and texture, a style the Attems family has been associated with since their winemaking history in Friuli's Collio zone began in 1106. The estate has been part of the Marchesi Frescobaldi family since 2000. Delicate and floral with fresh pear, dried chamomile, and dried apricot, it opens to a light, precise, quietly complex palate of white nectarine and lemon with a clean crisp finish. Serve it well chilled now through 2027 with pasta Alfredo, smoked salmon Bennies, or salads.
