Super refreshing with vibrant acidity and a grassy, gooseberry and green herb nose on the medium-bodied, bone-dry Sauvignon Blanc. Produced by winemaker, Simon Waghorn, the SB grapes are sourced from Wairau Valley, Awatere Valley and Kekerengu Coast.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: grilled shrimp, grilled chicken breast, vegetarian pizza, quiches.

Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A very aromatic Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, there is gooseberry and herbal aromas and also on the finish. In between, the wine has a medium mineral acidity which mellows to a smooth finish. This wine is consistently good from year to year. This pairs beautifully with seafood and fish.
From the Marlborough, South Island wine region, Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc 2018 is so refreshing, clean and crisp with grassy, green herb and gooseberry aromas and flavours vibrant on the palate with a lemony zesty finish.. Chill and enjoy now with a green bean, avocado, spring onion and feta cheese quinoa salad. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
