An elegant, long-lived Brunello with aromas of tanned leather, blackberry, smoke, and cigar box. Full-bodied and balanced. Decant 2 hours and enjoy with rare meats.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: hearty meat stews, roast pork, venison stuffed Portobello mushrooms.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This wine delivers all the floral elements Brunellos are famous for. Lifted aromas of cherry also follow with the cherry elements following through on the palate. Not the heaviest Brunello but a more feminine style.
Argiano 2013 is an elegant, full-bodied juicy Brunello Di Montalcino from the Tuscany wine region. On the nose there is orange zest, dark berries and spicy aromas. ON the palate, the wine is dry and long with ripe cherry, plum, tobacco and fresh mushroom flavours. Nicely done and perfect now. Enjoy with a vegetarian lasagne. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
