A full-bodied Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend with dark plum, blackberry, anise, earthy and smoky on the nose. Dry, intense and muscular with blackberry, black currant, smoky and mineral flavours on the palate. Tannins are chewy. Pair with a smoked, slow-braised beef brisket.

Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hamburgers, pizza, black bean soup, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2010 vintage was dry, full-bodied beautiful experience. Crafted from Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon (80/20) harvested in Spain’s Ribera del Duero appellation, this red blend showcased scents and flavours dark fruit, earthiness, minerality and smoke. This scent flavour combination was sublime. Enjoy.

From the Ribera Del Duero wine region, Ardal 2010 Reserva is a mature Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend. Rich with dark plum, dark cherry, dried fruit, baking spice, dark chocolate, leather flavours finishing with stony mineral notes on the palate. Food-friendly. Pair with smoked, grilled game sausages. - Community Wine Reviews
