A lovely and elegant wine with a silky smooth texture and medium- to full-bodied weight. Aromas of dark fruit and just the right amount of oak. This Chianti over-delivers with its savoury complexity. Finishes with dark leather and dried herbs. The 2009 vintage of this Chianti Classico is elegant and balanced. Edging toward past peak so drink now. Pair with meat dishes.

Chianti Classico food pairings: bucatini with sausage and peas, pizza, chicken dishes with savoury sauces.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
