Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Lovely dry, ruby coloured Rioja, a blend of Mazuelo, Graciano, Garnacha and Tempranillo. It delivers a fragrant nose of strawberries and cherries. Smooth, elegant and complex on the palate with soft tannins and berry, spice and vanilla flavours and long lingering smoky finish. Enjoy with grilled beef or serve with a platter of charcuterie.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Powerful and complex between the primary aromas of the varietals; the oak aging give spicy aromas. The mouthfeel is complex and velvety, a delightful wine from Rioja! It is aged for 18 months in oak barrels and is easily the best priced Crianza in Canada.

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
