Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Really enjoyed this from the start on the nose- dark cherry, plum, smoke, sweet tobacco, cocoa. To the long finish of cherry, oak and milk chocolate finish. Medium bodied and silky. Drinking beautifully right now. Enjoyed on its own but would definitely be food friendly. Red meat, game, cheese, cedar plank salmon.
The 2011 bears a striking (and agreeable) resemblance to the wonderful 2010. Aromas of plum, dark fruit and chocolate are followed by gorgeous smoky notes. Fresh red fruit flavours ride on a vibrant wave of acidity trailing hints of wafting smoke as they pass. Awesome. Enjoy this with braised meats, and anything with smoky flavours incorporated into the mix. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, March 2013
