Altenburg is a great example of a medium-sweet, mouth-filling Alsatian Gewurztraminer sourced from vines ranging from 15-to-20 years of age with flavours of rose petal, lychee, ripe stone fruit and a touch of spice. The estate has been family-owned and operated for seven generations.

Gewurztraminer food pairings: grilled pork tenderloin with applesauce, grilled chicken breasts with chutney, mild curries.

From the Alsace wine region, André Blanck & Fils Altenbourg 2018 Gewurztraminer is supple, deliciously soft medium-bodied and off-dry Gew with flavours of rose petal, lychee, ripe stone fruit and a touch of spice. Pair with mild curries. Wine grapes are sourced from vines averaging 15 to 20 years of age. This parcel is near the Grand Cru of Furstentum, northwest of Colmar. - Community Wine Reviews
