From the Duca di Saragnano line of wines, Alchymia 2018 Primitivo is great value at $20. Fragrant with aromas of ripe strawberry, red berry and black cherry; dry full-bodied and spicy with ripe red berry, plum, blackberry, toasty oak spice vibrant and velvety on the palate. Very approachable now. Pour with a wild mushroom and boar stew or a simple Pasta Puttanesca.

Primitivo food pairings: roast pork, roast duck a l'orange, veal chops, mild beef curries, grilled game dishes, rich meaty pasta.
