Adegamãe Dory from Lisboa is a vibrant, light to medium-bodied white offering aromas of ripe white peach, chamomile, and hints of sea salt. It's dry with lively acidity and a crisp texture. Serve it well chilled with sushi as the wine's bright citrus and mineral character will enhance the delicate fish and rice beautifully, or pair it with steamed mussels where the wine's refreshing finish and coastal acidity will complement the briny shellfish perfectly. Winemaker Diogo Lopes, who studied agronomy at the University of Lisbon and completed harvests in Portugal's top regions and Napa Valley before joining the winery in 2010 alongside consulting oenologist Anselmo Mendes, crafts this wine from a blend of Viosinho, Arinto, Alvarinho, and Sauvignon Blanc. Founded in 2010 by the Alves family of the Riberalves Group (Portugal's largest cod supplier), AdegaMãe takes its name as a tribute to matriarch Dona Manuela, and the Dory brand honors the small boats Portuguese fishermen used when fishing for cod, with vineyards just 10 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean where constant sea breezes create ideal conditions for white wine production.
