7 Coline Feteasca Regala Traminer Valul lui Traian is a light, extra-dry white blend from Vinaria din Vale, a family winery situated within the Lunca Prutului de Jos UNESCO biosphere reserve in southern Moldova, just steps from the ecological treasure of Lake Beleu. The wine marries the floral, grapey character of Feteasca Regala with the intensely aromatic Traminer grape, producing a nose of fresh wildflowers, rose petals, dried apricot, white peach, and grapefruit, with bright acidity and a subtle mineral thread on the clean finish. Serve it well chilled and drink it through 2027. The winery was founded by Vladimir Davidescu, who inherited his love of wine from his father Ilie, a beekeeper and artisan winemaker who made wine each autumn for friends and family from a small backyard vineyard. Vladimir's children Elena and Andrian now run the business, with the 7 Coline label named for the seven hills of the Bugeac Steppe where the vines grow.

Feteasca Regala Traminer food pairings: grilled octopus with lemon and olive oil, shrimp marinated in garlic and rosemary, seafood linguine with white wine and parsley.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
