Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A fresh and lively blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, showing raspberry preserves, vanilla, baking spices, dried herbs, and a touch of wood smoke on the nose and palate. Well balanced with lively berry fruit on the finish, enjoy this local gem with spicy Italian sausage wood-fired pizza, BBQ'd chicken, or charcuterie boards with cheese, cured meats, and sweet preserves. Tasted March 2021. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Ripe and jammy red fruit and dark fruit notes of cherry, black cherry, plum, and black berry. An easygoing red blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A crowd pleaser with universal appeal, good value, and some surprisingly structured and rounded tannins. Good for BBQ ribs, meatloaf, or burgers.
13th Street's Red Palette 2017 is in reference to a painter's palette of wine grapes and to winemaker, J-P Cola's artistic blending of this juicy 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc from the Niagara Peninsula wine region. Look for ripe red berry, cherry and dark plum flavours, concentrated and silky smooth on the palate. Tannins are soft. So good now. - Community Wine Reviews
