The 13th Street Expression Series Riesling from Niagara Peninsula is an invigorating, off-dry wine showcasing vibrant flavours of green apple, ripe nectarine and candied citrus peel with a distinct stony minerality. It's light to medium-bodied with refreshing acidity. Serve it well chilled alongside pan-seared trout with herb butter as the wine's crisp character will complement the delicate fish perfectly, or pair it with a spicy Thai green curry where the touch of sweetness will balance the heat. Jean-Pierre Colas, the French-trained winemaker who crafted Wine Spectator Magazine's 1998 White Wine of the Year while at Domaine Laroche in Chablis, has been creating sustainably farmed wines at 13th Street since 2009. This versatile Riesling will continue to develop beautifully through 2029.

Riesling food pairings: grilled pork chops, baked ham, veal schnitzel, smoked whitefish on baguette.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
