From Creek Shores, Niagara Peninsula wine region, 13th Street 2020 is a dry, medium-plus-bodied fresh and fruity blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the winery's Lakeshore Farm, June's Vineyard and other select plots on Creek Shores. Look for ripe blueberry, dark cherry compote vanilla, chocolate and toasty oak spice flavours on this velvety red. Pour with lamb lollipops from the grill.

Cabernet Merlot food pairings: grilled lamb chops, roast chicken, slow-braised pork shoulder roast.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Each vintage 13th Street's winemaker assembles a unique blend of their popular 'Cabernet Merlot' to showcase how great this value-priced red blend can be. 2020 is a blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, all from Niagara's Creek Shores VQA . Deep ruby in colour, the nose shows dark cherry, plum, pepper, and sous bois. It's rich with fine soft tannins making it great to enjoy now with wood fired pizzas, pasta, or charcuterie. Tasted November 2022. 89+ points. Matt Steeves - www.querucsvino.ca
