Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Priya: Reminds me of an amarone with its deep, rich color and fruity aroma. Even tastes like one, mirroring how it smells on the palate. It's very rich, with buckets of jammy berries and not too dry or tannic. Tasted on it's 3rd day open and I could easily drink a few glasses of this. Not meant for food - this is great on its own. 92 pts

Alex: It has indeed become amarone-esque on its third day, and I prefer it today as well, as the roughness of the first day has mellowed. Swathes of plums and dates now, hinting at soy and smoky old leather. This is a big aglianico that needed plenty of air, and while it's good as a ripe and powerful style - I didn't find the floral/basil/feminine notes that I want from the region. There is however plenty of volcanic soil minerality on the baked fruit and earthy finish. Fair length. 86 pts

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
