Creekside Rosé 2018, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: From the Niagara wine region this is a racy rosé made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon with a fresh nose of ripe cherries, strawberries and soft orange aromas, dry on the palate with vibrant pink grapefruit, savoury herbs and savoury spice flavours. Red Wine

The Chocolate Block 2017, Swartland W.O., South Africa: The Chocolate Block is mostly Syrah with some Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier added to the blend. This is a smooth, full-bodied South African red from the Swartland Wine Region. Savoury, ripe with dark berry, cedar spice and smoky flavours on a smooth palate. Tannins are firm. Hold for another year and drink for the next five. Food pairings: Bobtje, roast chicken Marbella, western BBQ chicken, vegetable chilli.
