Flavs Amarone della Valpolicella 2018, Veneto D.O.C.G., Italy: Flavs 2018 Amarone Della Valpolicella is a youthful, vibrant and medium-plus-bodied cherry, berry red wine blend of 85% Corvina, 10% Rondinella and 5% Croatina sourced from the Veneto wine region. Brilliant ruby in the glass creamy with dark cherry, red berry, citrus zest, chocolate and vanilla flavours. Tannins are ripe and velvety. Lovely now. Pelee Island Winery Vinedresser Chardonnay 2017, Lake Erie North Shore, South Islands, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: From Pelee Island Winery, Vinedressers 2017 Chardonnay is vegan-friendly and produced from sustainably grown grapes from the South Islands, Lake Erie North Shore wine region. Fragrant with ripe apple, pear, quince, lemon zest, nutty, toasty oak and vanilla flavours silky and lithe on the palate. Very nicely done as is the price at $20. Chardonnay food pairings: Poached salmon in a butter sauce, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Caesar salad, tuna pasta bake, salads topped with mild hard cheese like Edam or Fontina.
