Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Wines from the Rhone are very popular in more recent terms. What is generally not well understood is the difference between the Northern Rhone and Southern Rhone. The south is more famous for its complex blends oof up to 16 different grapes, including Genache and Syrah. The north focuses more intensely on only Shiraz, with tiny amounts of Viognier. The north produces amazingly concentrated and spicey Syrah/Shiraz. It also represents a tiny fraction of the collected production of the Rhone. They're quite scarce, but are always of amazing quality - especially in the hands of an expert, like Jaboulet.
This wine is dark ruby, with a black core.
Aromas of cherry, raspberry, cracked pepper, earth, beef blood, and hickory.
The flavours are similarly exotic. Very sanguine, but hot and spicy. White and black pepper, smoke, vanilla, leather, and fresh raspberries.
Very fine northern Rhone for the price. This should be fine any time in the next decade.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
