Drink Wine and Giggle Gals rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

So what are the Drink Wine and Giggle Gals doing posting a review of Le Piat D'Or White? Why are we the only reviewers on Natalie's site who would dare to drink this much-maligned wine? Well, it was served to us in large bottles at a function and we didn't have much of a choice. And it made us think about how perception affects experience. It made us think of North Dakota. In a Cornell experiment the same glass of cheap wine was presented free of charge with a prix fixe French menu in two different ways--one group of diners believed the wine was from Noah's Winery in California, the other group believed it was from Noah's Winery in North Dakota. The California wine drinkers rated their wine AND their meal more favourably, ate 11% more food and were more likely to make a return reservation than the North Dakota wine drinkers. The conclusion: we experience what we expect to experience. The Drink Wine and Giggle Gals wish they didn't know they were experiencing Le Piat D'Or. We're afraid that if it were in a different bottle with a different name, we'd be raving about that yummy Gold Piat.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
