Brent Gushowaty rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The wine is pale with a fresh cherry coloured rim. On the nose there was a touch of dark plum, cherry, cumin and you could detect a fresh acidity. On the palate it is very well balanced with savoury cherry, pomegranate and other darkish or ripe red fruits. The finish here as you might expect is a little longer and more persistent than their more modest Privato Collection bottling. As with all Privato wines, it possesses an excellent balancing acidity, savoury fruit with some earthiness, excellent structure and a soft, silky mouthfeel.

“Tesoro” means treasure in Italian. The grapes here were sourced from Lake Country in the Okanagan Valley GI. This wine is aged for 18 months in French oak and then an additional year in the bottle. The winemaker is John Woodward.

The Privato Winery and Vineyard is located in B.C.s Thompson Valley GI. The new (July 2018) Thompson Valley GI (GI stands for Geographical Indications - B.C.'s appellation) roughly follows the outline of the Thompson Basin and includes the communities of Kamloops, Cache Creek and Ashcroft. A semi-arid region, the Thompson Valley has hot, dry summers and cold winters. The constant movement of the North and South Thompson Rivers creates air flow to help moderate temperatures.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
