Bottle size: 750 ml
Winery: Yalumba

Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A good wine for grilled meats found within a whimsical bottle.…
Presentation: Fun, artsy, whimsical, with a splash of colour
Appearance: Medium-deep ruby
Nose: Pronounced nose, dark cherry, blackberry, medicinal notes, some green and a little noticeable alcohol
Taste: Dry, medium-full body, medium-high acidity, round but noticeably drying tannins, sour blackberry and cherry, green, wood and earth
Finish: medium sour, earthy finish
Overall impression: Liked the bottle and the wine had good complexity. However, we found the alcohol overpowered some of the smells and we did not get much pepper in the wine. Having said this, we see this pairing very well with grilled meats.
Value: 2/5
