Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a really fun barbecue wine to make sure you always have on hand. This is one of the few examples of a wine containing Negrette in the Canadian market. It is also blended with Cab Sauv and Shiraz.
Medium purple/ruby colour. Aromas of prune, tomato leaf, balsam, and plum. Quite a closed wine and it needs decanting. More violet florality and some cherry come out over time.
The flavours run a rance of exotic and firm spice help up with some fruit. Cherry, plum, and currant.
The area it is from, is refered to as Southwest France. Other areas of note, in this vicinity, include: Pacherenc de Vic-Bilh, Gaillac, and the famous Cahors. Southwest has a lpt to offer in wine experiences. The names may not all be familiar (or pronouncable), but the wine here is great. Put this next to some marinated red meat, or maybe some rabbit stew.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
