Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This wine is of Umbrian origin - a central region responsoble for popular Italian reds, such as Sagrantino di Montefalco or Torgiano. The varietals used are mostly Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Deep garnet, with a bright ruby rim.
The aromas have layers of bright red fruit and more exotic, brambly dark fruit. Balsam, forest floor, and liquorice.
Oak and fruit have great balance, though the wine is savoury. Many would call this full bodied, but this is far more sleek than your run-of-the-mill fruit bomb.
It's a wine that lends itself very well to cuisine. an ideal pairing would be marrow, or . Yes, it is old and it should be drunk soon. The fruit and oak have melted together wonderfully.
Lungarotti refers to this vlend as a "Super Umbrian;" no doubt in reference to Super Tuscans, which were an important force in the creation of the IGT caregory of Italian wines. Wines in this category are not restrained by the teaditional methods or varietals of the DOC(G) system and can be more creative and explorative in style. This wine is a piece of history because it still bears the old name for wines that broke the rules before the IGT existed - Vino di Tavola (table wine).

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
