Mymi Thesingingsommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Hopler is an Austrian family owned winery located south east of Vienna in Burgenland.
Their 46ha of vineyards lie in the Leithaberg Hills on the shores of Lake Neusiedl. The unique location allow for the production of a wide range of wines including whites, reds as well as dessert wines.
The Pannonica Red is an interesting blend that includes two Austrian native varietals; Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt as well as Pinot Noir.
In the glass, the wine is starting to show a little age with a slightly rustic ruby red color.
Expressive on the nose with aromas of ripe raspberries & blueberries, dried mint, honeycomb and nougat.
Dry on the palate with a tinge of sweetness and pronounced acidity. Loads of plums and raspberries mingling with a little cacao powder. Short finish with a slight oddly pleasant bitterness.
Unusual blend worth investigating!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
