Mymi Thesingingsommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Grant Burge is a fifth-generation Barossa vigneron and winemaker.
Following in the footsteps of his father and forefathers before him, Grant now carries the winemaking tradition into the 21st century.
He has a profound understanding and respect for his land, and is a proud ambassador as well as caretaker of the Barossa. He personally oversees all aspects of wine production from vineyard management and maintenance through to winemaking procedures to ensure longevity for generations to come.
Planted in 1920, Grant’s Filsell vineyard with near century old vines is considered one of the best vineyards in the Barossa Valley and consistently produces fruit of great intensity and concentration.
This wine is an OMFG! Big, bold, juicy and sticking to your bones OMFG kind of a wine!
In the glass, it is black as the deepest night, almost opaque.
On the nose, it is meaty and exudes the most perfumed blackberry compote along with Tahitian vanilla, candied beets, black pepper and eucalyptus.
On the palate, it is stupendously rich and smoky with tons of that blackberry compote, cigar box, nutmeg, black pepper and toasted oak. Harmony between tannin and acid levels and a long massive finish make this wine astonishing for your hardiest wintery dishes… Am thinking about braised meats, beef, lamb, venison… Served with rosemary, creamy scalloped potatoes and some kind of vegetables!!!
Or drink on its own while letting a piece of the best dark chocolate melt in your mouth…

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
