Mymi Thesingingsommelier rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

Aristide Mau set up his trading business in 1897. Now named Yvon Mau (for his son), the company is now the 4th largest in the Bordeaux marketplace being present in 80 countries worldwide.
Yvon Mau has been a subsidiary of the Freixenet Group since 2001 and the company now makes almost half its turnover in exports.
Their philosophy is to provide customers and consumers all over the world with the very best in Bordeaux wines.
This wine is a good introduction to Bordeaux. It is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc combined.
In the glass it is a deep ruby red with a dark, almost opaque center and thick viscous legs.
The nose is subtle, mineraly with some black cherry, wet earth and clove.
On the palate, it is round, rich and dry. Soft tannins and mouth watering acidity. Cassis, blackberry, a little smokiness with a long finish and a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste.
A great sipper or to enjoy with pâté, duck rillette and a warm baguette!!!
Santé!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
