As the sole proprietor of Magnum Wine & Spirits Ltd., Don is excited to be embarking on this new venture, building on the many relationships he has forged after 23 years in the wine and spirits industry.

After graduating from Queen’s University with a BComm (Honours) degree, Don entered the wine and spirits industry. While learning the business in his early days, he worked retail in Alberta and Crush in California. He then co-founded Free House Wine & Spirits in 1994. Over the years, Don has travelled the wine world extensively as well as to most major spirit producing regions, developing and refining his palate.

Don has achieved full expertise in every aspect of the liquor distribution business from product sourcing to logistics and financing, as well as sales and marketing. He has a well-earned reputation as a solid, ethical and responsive trade partner who delivers on his promises.

Tara Holland, Logistics Manager

Tara is the nerve centre of Magnum Wine & Spirits Ltd., liaising with all suppliers, liquor boards, freight forwarders and warehousing. As the Logistics Manager, she is responsible for inventory and purchasing management. Tara is actively involved in budget development, forecasting, costing, and pricing analysis. She also provides sales and marketing support. This is all in a day’s work for Tara who has been a Logistics Manager in the wine and spirits industry for over 10 years, having been drawn to it by her love of wine.
