Reviews and Ratings

Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

This wine is produced by La Cave des Vignerons de Pfaffenheim. They were created in 1957, and operate in the heart of Alsace. The vineyard land is considered to have the most complex soils in France, a veritable mosaic which allows for the production of wines from the same varietal and same vintage to taste drastically different.
La Cave des Vignerons de Pfaffenheim produce wines from traditional Alsacian varieties, use environmentally friendly growing methods, own ultra modern fermenting rooms and their wines are only sold when they have reached a high level of aromatic expression!
This Pinot Blanc is a total crowd pleaser!
With a clear pale straw color, it has dense limpid legs.
The nose is delicate, with soft peach yogourt candy, freshly-cut golden apples and white honeysuckle blossoms.
On the palate, it is focused, fresh, has a bright acidity and a touch of sweetness. The aromas seduce the mouth in a luxurious, voluptious texture followed by a lingering finish.
Try it with a traditional Swiss cheese fondue, thai curries, chinese chili chicken or on its own!
Santé!!!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
