Love the black pepper juiciness of this red! Fleshy black cherries with some tart blackberries mingled in. Absolutely delicious! The grapes for this wine dried for a month, in the traditional method. This gives incredible intensity and depth to the wine. The traditional Corvina and Oseleta grapes are used in the blend. A balancing acidity is perfect and makes this robust red even more versatile with a variety of hearty meat dishes.

A blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Merlot, the Arele is named for the traditional wooden trays that were used to partially dry grapes selected to make appassimento wines. An aromatic nose of cherry and red fruits, with tar, leather, nettle, dried leaf and plum adding depth. Delicious, complex and long. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Feb. 2013
