Juicy with purple plums and ripe blueberries wrapped in campfire smoke from oak aging. Full-bodied and rich with black raspberry and blackberry jam aromas and flavours. Concentrated and deep with lots of drinking pleasure. Great wine for movie night. Pair with flank steak, pork loin, lamb or pizza.

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

First thought.. "this is not my style." The alcohol heat is too much of a dominant feature on the nose. The notes include black plum, spearmint, anise seed, cinnamon, and cocoa. The tannins are grippy, the acidity is moderate, and alcohol spice notes are too high for taste. My second thought..."there is something lacking somewhere." Produced by Don Sebastien & Sons, this wine is a Sonoma Valley, old vine Zinfandel with lots of crushed raspberry and cedar on the nose and palate. There is great acidity on the wine so it would do well with gourmet burgers on the grill -- or not, and have it on its own to enjoy with a summer sunset. - Community Wine Reviews
