Side Launch Northbound Lager, Ontario, Canada Side Launch Northbound Lager is a crisp and clean craft lager from Collingwood, Ontario, brewed to reflect the refreshing, unpretentious character of the Georgian Bay region it calls home. The nose is light and inviting, with subtle aromas of fresh grain, a whisper of floral hop, and a clean, neutral malt quality that sets the tone for an easy-drinking experience. On the palate it is light to medium bodied with a smooth, well-attenuated mouthfeel, gentle cereal sweetness, and a mild, balanced bitterness that fades into a crisp, clean finish with just a hint of grassy hop. It is a straightforward, well-crafted lager that delivers on refreshment and drinkability without overreaching, making it an ideal companion for outdoor pursuits and warm-weather gatherings in cottage country. Fascinating fact: Collingwood, where Side Launch Brewing is based, sits on the southern shore of Georgian Bay and is surrounded by some of Ontario's most iconic outdoor recreation destinations, including the Niagara Escarpment and Blue Mountain, giving the brewery a natural connection to the active, adventure-driven lifestyle its beers are designed to complement. This beer is best served cold at 4 to 6°C in a chilled pint glass or a tall pilsner glass that showcases its clarity and pale golden colour.

Food pairings: classic beef smash burger, grilled bratwurst with mustard, beer-battered onion rings, sharp aged cheddar, BBQ chicken flatbread.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
