Reviews and Ratings

“Honey, we’re out of Vranac! Can you pick some up while you’re out?” This may not be a familiar refrain yet, but it could be once you discover this indigenous Republic of Macedonia grape and the deep rich reds it makes. This wine has earned many accolades including a Gold Medal at the Royal Wine Challenge 2010 in Prague. If you like Primitivo, you’ll probably like this relation from across the Adriatic. Smoke, tar, dark plum and sour cherry aromas greet the nose. It’s dry, soft textured with rich plum and berry flavours along with notions of wood spice. Well balanced acidity keeps it fresh, and it finishes dry with some of the tannins firming up at the end. Source: Vintages Wine Panel

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
